Collaborating with a 40-person team within silos posed a challenge. Amid growth to 100+ in 2 years, including COVID-19, managing productivity and communication became complicated.

The team was unsure about the product's viability in the market, leading to doubts about its potential success.

The pandemic-led pause in sports matches left a void in our content. This posed the challenge of swiftly providing alternatives to maintain user interest in the absence of regular sports content.

For a while, Sofascore was stuck at 18 million Monthly Active Users (MAU). Finding ways to attract and retain new users to break this plateau and achieve higher user growth was a major challenge.

Market research for expansion into China and Asia posed unique challenges. Navigating these markets required understanding cultural, regulatory, and competitive landscapes to formulate an effective entry strategy.

The data analysts were originally using Excel for analysis, which was both inefficient and time-consuming. The challenge here was to introduce a more efficient BI tool and train the team to use it effectively.

Without a corporate website, Sofascore struggled with showcasing its offerings to a broader audience, hindering partnerships, and general public visibility. Building the website from scratch was a significant task.

Transitioning the team to a Scrum framework presented challenges in terms of training, acceptance, and adaptation. It was vital to ensure this shift didn't disrupt existing workflows while speeding up delivery.
