FUSE - Fleet management

FUSE is a B2B web app for eBike fleet management, streamlining reservations & maintenance while tracking vital bike items like batteries and chargers. This integrated solution boosts operational efficiency and accuracy across all eBike functions.

We built from the scratch Fleet Management web app in 7 months!

Project's challenges

The existing process for booking bikes for events or customer trials was manual and cumbersome, leading to inefficiencies.

There was a lack of a centralized system for monitoring the current status of each bike, especially for maintenance and repairs.

The generation of borrowing agreements was not automated, increasing the possibility for errors and adding to the workload.

Assigning and tracking vital items such as batteries and chargers for each bike was disorganized and ineffective without a digital system.

The company experienced delays and potential inaccuracies in financial reporting as rent cost updates in SAP were not in real-time.

The lack of a fleet management solution raised costs and reduced productivity across various sectors.

Limited Future Planning: Without a centralized system, future bike reservations were challenging, impacting efficiency and user satisfaction.

The finance team grappled with delayed and inaccurate data about fleet costs, hampering efficient budgeting and financial decision-making.

Absent swift technician-team communication caused misunderstandings, delays, especially for bike repairs and maintenance.

Solution made for Sales, Aftersales, Assembly, Procurement and Finance teams.

What was done?

Market analysis

An in-depth analysis of the current market landscape was conducted, examining existing solutions and identifying gaps. Upon understanding the trends, customer needs, and pain points, unique selling propositions were defined for the FUSE app.

Product discovery

This process included diverse activities to shape the product vision and roadmap. First, user personas were created, vital for understanding the audience. Ideation sessions followed, generating potential features based on market research insights.

Product management

After shaping the product vision, development began. Prioritizing features, creating a backlog, and setting sprint timelines were key. Tasks were assigned, and a feedback loop for ongoing improvement was established. Agile ensured flexibility.

FUSE roadmap

The implementation phase extended across 7 months. Subsequently, we facilitated the onboarding of internal teams who effectively employed the product for tasks involving the rental and maintenance of the e-bike fleet. Furthermore, a strategic plan was formulated for the purpose of initiating B2B sales of the white label product.
